Privacy Policy for uFuture Question Batch Entry Helper
1. Introduction
uFuture Question Batch Entry Helper is a Chrome Extension designed to help authorized UiTM lecturers batch-enter assessment questions into the uFuture question creation form.
This Privacy Policy explains what data the extension processes, how the data is used, and how user privacy is protected.
2. Data Collection
This extension does not collect, transmit, sell, or share user data with any external server or third party.
The extension works locally in the user’s browser. It may temporarily store the following information in Chrome local storage:
- Pasted batch question text
- Parsed question list
- Current batch progress
- Running or stopped status
- Delay setting
- Error or completion logs
This temporary storage is used only to allow the batch entry process to continue when the uFuture portal reloads or moves between pages.
3. Website Content
The extension interacts only with the uFuture question-entry workflow. It may read and fill visible form fields such as question text, answer options, correct answer indicators, marks, and related assessment fields.
This information is used only to populate the existing uFuture question creation form for authorized users.
4. Data Not Collected
This extension does not collect:
- Names, identification numbers, or personal profile information
- Passwords, login credentials, or authentication tokens
- Financial or payment information
- Health information
- Location data
- Browsing history
- Personal communications such as emails, messages, or chats
5. Data Sharing
No data is sold, transferred, or shared with third parties.
The extension does not use user data for advertising, analytics, profiling, creditworthiness, lending purposes, or any purpose unrelated to its single purpose.
6. Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions needed to support its single purpose:
- activeTab — to interact with the active uFuture portal tab when the user starts the extension.
- scripting — to run the content script needed for DOM-based form automation.
- storage — to temporarily store batch progress and allow continuation after page reload.
- https://ufuture.uitm.edu.my/* — to restrict the extension to the official uFuture portal domain.
7. User Control
Users may stop the batch process at any time using the Stop Batch button in the extension.
Users may clear stored batch data through the extension interface, Chrome extension settings, or by removing the extension from Chrome.
8. Security
The extension does not bypass authentication, access control, CAPTCHA, or any portal security mechanism. Users must already have legitimate access to the uFuture portal and the relevant question creation page.
9. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the extension or applicable requirements. Any updates will be reflected on this page.
